Lolong was a Saltwater Crocodile (Crocodylus porosus) measured at 20 ft. 3 in. in length and weighing 2,370 lbs, making him the largest crocodile ever caught. He was captured in 2011 in Mindanao, Philippines, after a 3 week hunt that sought to catch the huge crocodile who was suspected to have eaten a fisherman and a 12-year-old girl. Lolong became the centerpiece of a local ecotourism park until he died in 2013.
